About Me:
I am originally from the bright spot of Owosso, Michigan. (holding up right hand, pointing to where it can be found) I spent some time at Berklee college of Music in Boston, where I studied Arranging and Composition. Upon returning to Michigan, I joined the nearly famous R&B cover band, “Crowd Pleaser” (I believe they opened for Ohio Players somewhere in '78… OOoooo OOohhhh Aaaahhhh) and played just about every Holiday Inn local hotspot Michigan had to offer. Sigh. Good times…”Da Hah”
Somewhere along the way, I got hooked up with El DeBarge and toured around with him as a keyboardist/programmer. That led me to Los Angeles, where I hooked up with Janet Jackson's first world tour as a programmer/keyboardist (notice the transposition of duties). After that, I hooked up with Babyface (who used to play guitar for Crowd Pleaser…OOooo Aaaahhh) as a midi programmer/IT administrator (oh yeah, I love computers) helping out with hundreds of records from Toni Braxton to Whitney Houston. I toured around with Face as a keyboardist a couple of times and then settled into just computer admin work.
I left the computer admin job with a prolific R&B writer/producer and sought higher ground in the security field. One year of that showed me that I could go it alone. I've been running my own tech support/web design company for about 3 years now. If you live in LA and have issues with your computer (mac or pc), let me know and I'll gladly stop by and see what I can do,
www.walkersystems.net. I love the freedom and creativity involved in being my own boss. I'm working up the courage to ask for a raise. Light ahead to that…
A couple of years ago, I awoke to the realization that there was definitely something more to my behaviors…my consciousness…my life. Attending the University of Santa Monica's Spiritual Psychology masters course was the single most pivitol epiphanic experience of my life so far. Hearing that life is a process and not an event is one thing, learning it through a deeply profound series of soul searching classes is quite another. I could fill a whole website sharing what I experienced and continue to experience on a daily basis. Ask me sometime.
